Frequently asked questions about LOOP®

Where is LOOP® clothing produced?

All LOOP® clothing is manufactured in Turkey. The materials used to make the clothing also come from Turkey and Europe. This approach enables LOOP® to keep both its supply routes and the transport route out of Turkey very short compared to those of manufacturers in the Far East. Ideally, our aim is to use only rail transport between Turkey and Austria – but unfortunately, this is only feasible when very large quantities are involved.

What kinds of certification does LOOP® clothing have?

All LOOP® clothing is certified under Cradle to Cradle©, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and amfori/BSCI standards.

Cradle to Cradle® approach aims at a continuous and fully circular economy. This means that Cradle to Cradle products can either be returned to biological systems, in the form of "biological nutrients", or be kept in technical systems, in the form of "technical nutrients".
amfori/BSCI: The amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (amfori BSCI, established in 2003) is a programme operated by the business association amfori aimed at improving social standards in a global value chain.
GOTS: The Global Organic Textile Standard is applied worldwide in the processing and manufacture of textiles and textile products made from organically produced raw materials. Organically produced cotton in the case of LOOP®.

How can LOOP® garments be individualised?

All LOOP® textiles are specially produced according to your wishes. Our in-house graphics department will be happy to design a proposal for your own Cradle to Cradle® certified textile. Simply contact us at info@loop-textiles.ch or call +41 43 266 25 88.

What is the minimum order?

The minimum order for black or white items is 250 pieces per item. You can decide what proportion of those are men’s/women’s garments.

For garments in any other colour, the minimum order is 500 pieces per item. Naturally, we use Cradle to Cradle© dyes to custom dye fabrics to the pantone colour of your choice.

What should I expect in terms of delivery timeline?

About 1–2 weeks for the lab dip (a small fabric swatch for colour control and approval). This step omitted with orders of black or white items.
About 3–4 weeks for the preproduction sample, which you also receive for control and approval.
About 4–6 weeks for manufacturing and transport to Kloten.

How do I choose the right size?

Measurement tables and sizing sets, in slim and basic cuts, are available for both women’s and men’s versions of all LOOP® garments. You are welcome to borrow the sizing sets to determine the right sizes for your employees and/or colleagues. If none of the sample garments provide a good fit, our patternmaker will be happy to help you find the right cut. Just contact us at info@loop-textiles.ch or +41 43 266 25 88.

How can I track the progress of my order?

After placing an order with LOOP®, you will receive the following e-mail messages from your account manager:

Order confirmation: as soon as your order has arrived and final confirmation is issued
Delivery note: as soon as your order has been shipped
Invoice: 1–2 weeks after product delivery

How much does shipping cost?

We charge CHF 18 per package. Express costs will be charged additionally.

A package contains approximately 80 T-shirts, 30 polo shirts or 15 sweatshirts.

What is the best way to care for LOOP® clothing?

All LOOP® clothing meets garment industry standards and requirements with respect to physical and chemical properties as well as durability and lifespan.

Washing instructions are printed on the labels of the individual garments. The garments should be washed at 30 °C and air dried.

What labels are attached to LOOP® garments?

Every garment bears two labels:

Flag label: This label with the LOOP® symbol is attached discreetly to the outside of the garment, sewn into the left side-seam.
Care label: This label is sewn into the left side-seam of the garment. The care label contains a variety of information about the garment, such as fabric content, washing instructions, “Made in Turkey”, project no./date and our mailing address. This information is provided in accordance with certification standards and cannot be customised.

How is my LOOP® garment packaged?

LOOP® textiles are folded, rolled and held together with a recycled paper band. This band can be provided with an additional, individual imprint from 500 pieces. The outer carton is also made of recycled cardboard.

How do I dispose of my LOOP® garment sustainably?

That is the best thing about LOOP®! Should you decide, with a heavy heart, that your garment is no longer right for, you can pass it on to someone else, donate it to a clothing bank – or return it directly to LOOP®.

Where can I obtain samples?

We have samples on hand. Just ask, and we will provide you with samples of the garments you are interested in for your perusal.

Can I buy individual LOOP® garments?

This clothing is not intended for retail sale. We produce this line only in connection with corporate-wear concepts, and we manufacture to order, which is also an important sustainability aspect in the garment industry.
